Why Trump can only surrender to Putin

How is it happening here? How has America fallen apart in nine months faster than it did in the eight years of rakes smashing our faces under George W. Bush?

Well, if there were only one reason, it wouldn't be happening. But one thing is clear. The genes that make possible the complex disease of Daddyism, the lust for a White Republican King, that has experienced a rapid onset across our federal government, have to come in part from America not knowing its own history.

Americans don't know shit about our first 249 or so years. But we don't even know the history of our last eight years!

Let's be honest. From Bush v. Gore on, history has been moving at 2X speed, at least. But what happened when Donald Trump came down the elevator is like when the drugs kicked in outside Barstow. And since the "For You" era hit, we are living full-time in a freaked-out Ralph Gleason hell where Trump is our Oz, but only the Oz of aging, angry white men and their third wives.

But you have to know that from Thomas Paine on, the best of us have seen through the bullsh*t. It's also possible to see the wrongs of now with the wisdom of the eternal.
