'I'm talking to you because I work for you'

House Republicans took a big step forward on Wednesday with their plan to uninsure up to 14 million Americans while passing tax cuts that unfairly benefit the richest humans alive.
They did it even though there isn't a single congressional district in America that's asking for this.
There is not a single congressional district in the U.S. where more than 15% of voters support cuts to Medicaid.

Now begins the challenge of reaching out to those 13.7 million at risk of being uninsured as early as next year—ideally, while this bill can still be stopped in the House.
AOC offered a quick masterclass in how to do this.. At 3 AM Wednesday, Rep. Randy Weber of Texas told Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York to stop talking to the camera.
AOC responded:
There are 13.7 million Americans on the other side of that screen right there. That's right. Hello? Hello. I'm talking to you because I work for you. That's right. And they deserve to see what is happening here because there are plenty of districts, including Republican ones. Where 25% of your constituents are on Medicaid, 40% of your constituents are on Medicaid, and yes, I am talking, well, the Gentlelady yield, I am talking to them. And I will not yield because it was a terribly disrespectful comment. And I will not yield to disrespectful men.
So let's find them, the Americans most at risk of losing their lifesaving Medicaid coverage because of the dirty deal behind this MAGA Murder Budget.
Then we need to reach out to all the tens of millions of Americans now on Medicaid and their families. So, all Americans.
These cuts not only make Medicaid less reliable and more expensive for all beneficiaries, including families with medically complex kids, but they also put doctors and hospitals, especially those in rural areas, at risk. Every state is likely to be decimated to some degree by the GOP's cuts, while Elon Musk will be enjoying more tax cuts to pay for an army of robot au pairs.
So let everyone know that Republicans want Medicaid, one of the best things the American people have ever done, and gut it.
When they're done, they hope to make it look like the bastardized version of Medicaid expansion in Georgia that Luke Seaborn once cheered but now despises:

If nationwide Medicaid begins to resemble Georgia's Frankenstein program, far more than 14 million will lose coverage, given that the program only covers about 10% of those eligible. A national disgrace.
We can still stop this.
It won't be easy. But Republicans need to know these votes for the MAGA Murder Budget won't just plague Americans who depend on Medicaid, they could easily cost them their careers.
